The best AI for Roblox Studio in 2026, by use case
Most "best AI for Roblox" lists are written by one of the tools on the list, and they rank themselves first. So is this one: ForgeBlox makes one of the tools below. Instead of a ranking, this page sorts the options by the job you are doing, says plainly when a free tool is the right answer, and sticks to things you can check yourself: where the tool runs, whether it tests its own work, how you sign in, and how you pay.
The short answer
| If you want to... | Start with |
|---|---|
| Get help with one script or one edit, for free | Roblox Assistant (built into Studio) |
| Have an AI build whole systems in your real place and test them | An in-Studio agent: ForgeBlox (Windows) or Ropilot (Windows, Mac, Linux) |
| See a playable idea in a minute without opening Studio | A browser builder: Lemonade or Obby.fun, or Roblox Build on your phone |
| Use your own AI subscription and code editor | Claude Code or Cursor, with Rojo or Studio's MCP server |
| Generate 3D meshes | Roblox Assistant's 3D generation, or a dedicated 3D tool |
What separates the tools
- Where it runs. Inside your Studio place, in a browser that exports to Studio, or in your own editor synced to Studio. Building in your real place means no import step and no "works in preview, breaks in Studio".
- Whether it playtests. Code that was never run is a guess. Tools that start a playtest, read the console and look at the result catch their own mistakes.
- How you sign in. Official Roblox OAuth or your own Studio session is safe. Never give any tool your Roblox password or
.ROBLOSECURITYcookie. - How you pay. Free with limits, monthly subscription, prepaid credits, or bring your own AI subscription. Check whether you can see the price before a request runs.
The tools, one by one
Roblox Assistant
Built into Roblox Studio on Windows and Mac, made by Roblox, free with daily generation limits. In 2026 it gained a planning mode and a playtesting agent, and it can generate 3D objects. It is the right first stop for most people, especially while you are learning what Studio's pieces are called. Where it is weaker is long, multi-system builds in one go. Our ForgeBlox vs Roblox Assistant page goes deeper.
ForgeBlox
Ours, so weigh this accordingly. ForgeBlox is an agent that works inside your own Roblox Studio on a Windows PC, through a small code-signed app (the ForgeBlox Bridge) and Studio's built-in MCP server. You describe a system in plain English and it writes the Luau, builds parts and UI, wires game passes and DataStore saving, playtests, reads the console, fixes errors and shows a viewport screenshot. You can attach screenshots or mockups of the look you want, or paste a Figma frame for UI. It uses Claude Sonnet 5.5 by default, with Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1 available, and shows the price of each message before you send it. Sign-in is Roblox OAuth. Pricing: trial credits, then prepaid packs from $10 that never expire, plus an optional monthly membership (see pricing). Not for you if you are on a Mac (Windows only today) or only ever need one script at a time.
Ropilot
The closest comparison to ForgeBlox: an in-Studio agent using a plugin and a desktop app, on Windows, Mac and Linux, with playtesting. Pricing on its site in October 2026 was a $20/month plan or one-time packs. A good choice if you are on Mac or Linux. See ForgeBlox vs Ropilot.
Lemonade
A web app that generates Roblox content in the browser, with export to Studio and a plugin. Good for getting something on screen quickly; you then bring it into Studio and continue there. Pricing was not published on its site when we checked. See ForgeBlox vs Lemonade.
Obby.fun
A browser builder that exports an .rbxlx file to open in Studio, with a free tier and a Pro subscription. Useful for a fast first version you then finish in Studio.
Superbullet AI
A Windows desktop app that syncs code into Studio through Rojo and its own plugin. Paid tiers and testing behaviour were not documented when we checked. See ForgeBlox vs Superbullet AI.
Rebirth
Builds in Studio on your computer through a plugin and a browser dashboard, playtests, and charges one prompt per request on monthly plans ($8.99 or $15.99 in October 2026). See ForgeBlox vs Rebirth.
Roblox Build
Roblox's mobile app for making games on a phone, in limited regions in 2026, free. Fun for quick ideas, not a replacement for Studio.
Claude Code, Cursor and Rojo
If you are a programmer with your own AI subscription, you can sync scripts between your editor and Studio with Rojo, or point an MCP client such as Claude Code at Studio's built-in MCP server and let it act in your place directly. Most flexible, most setup, and you run the tests yourself. Our MCP explainer shows how the server works.
General chatbots
ChatGPT, Claude and others write decent Luau and are excellent teachers, but they cannot see your Explorer or run your game, so names are guesses and testing is on you. Use the checklist in our AI script generator guide before you trust a pasted script.

How to choose in 10 minutes
- Open Studio and try Roblox Assistant on one small task. If that covers what you need, stop there; it is free.
- If you want a whole system (a shop with saving, a round system, a tycoon), give the same prompt to one or two in-Studio agents using their free credits. Most offer some.
- Open the scripts each one wrote. Is economy logic on the server? Did it test? Did it show you the result?
- Compare the real cost of that one task, not the headline price.
Want a ready-made test prompt? The first message of the tycoon guide is a good one: it exercises scripting, building, a leaderstat and a playtest in one request.
Questions
What is the best free AI for Roblox Studio?
Roblox Assistant. It is built into Studio on Windows and Mac, free with daily generation limits, and good for single scripts, edits and 3D generation. Most people should start there.
Which AI can build a whole Roblox game inside Studio?
In-Studio agents such as ForgeBlox and Ropilot work in your real place across many steps, with playtests. ForgeBlox is Windows-only with Claude models and prepaid credits; Ropilot also runs on Mac and Linux with a monthly plan or packs.
Can I use ChatGPT or Claude for Roblox scripting?
Yes for learning and single scripts, but a chatbot cannot see your place or run your game. Programmers can connect Claude Code or another MCP client to Studio's built-in MCP server, or use Cursor with Rojo.
Is it safe to give a Roblox AI tool my account?
Never give any tool your Roblox password or .ROBLOSECURITY cookie. Prefer tools that sign in with official Roblox OAuth or run inside Studio under your own session.
